Piano Tuning of Cape Cod

Patricia A. Selemon
Registered Piano Technician, RPT

As the only Registered Piano Technician on Cape Cod, Pat has traveled paved and dirt roads of Cape Cod providing piano servicing, tuning and care for over 30 years. She welcomes your interest and invites you to phone her for an appointment.

In 1982 Pat became a Registered Piano Technician, RPT, with the Piano Technician's Guild. She is an active member and travels to Rhode Island to attend Guild meetings, sharing education, updates and fellowship. Her commitment to ongoing education and technical knowledge is just one of the reasons she is considered one of the most in-demand tuners on Cape Cod.

She has managed the tuning, servicing and repair of pianos on concert stages, indoors and outdoors, in schools, chapels, sanctuaries, living rooms, teaching studios, restaurants, piano stores, bedrooms, basements, porches, garages, kitchens, libraries and for recording sessions, weddings, funerals and fund-raisers. From Pops concerts to small living rooms, she's done it all.

Services offered for all makes and models of pianos include:

Quality piano tuning, both aural and electronic, both equal and historic temperaments.

If your piano needs refurbishing, rebuilding or re-manufacturing Pat can advise you where to go and what to have done.

Some hope that a tuning will correct all piano problems. Many pianos do need refinements year to year to the mechanism yet never get that additional care so eventually they are less enjoyable to play. If you allow your technician additional time for upkeep besides tuning, when needed, you will reap more pleasure from your instrument.

Among her clients over the three decades are the Cape Cod Coliseum rock concert circuit, Payomet Performing Arts Center, Truro, Wellfleet Preservation Hall, Wellfleet, Falmouth Playhouse for Tedi Marsh, East Bay Lodge of Osterville for pianists Bill Jacques and Dave McKenna, Chart Room in Pocasset for Al Smith, Cape Cod Conservatory for Mr. Casper and John McDonald and more recently Cape Symphony, Arts Foundation Pops by the Sea, Cape Cod Chamber Music Festival, Falmouth Academy, New Church of Yarmouth Port, schools, libraries, churches, and homes.
